Versatility has always been Richard's main strength, and can turn his hand to any style from Big Band to Classical with ease. Currently, Richard takes the Principal Trombone seat with the Carlton Main Frickley Brass Band, a Championship section band in Yorkshire. As well as the NBQ, Richard is in demand as a player in many theatre orchestras, soul bands and Big Bands in the Midlands area. By day, Richard is an IT Project Manager for National Construction Company.
