Phil Reckless

Trumpet

Phil started playing the trumpet at the early age of 10. During his years of studying he decided to make music & playing his career. He studied at the University of Sheffield for his Honours degree in Music. Now he is much in demand as a performer in a variety of different groups, from Theatre Orchestras to Soul Bands. His orchestral credits include working with the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra, the Nottingham Philharmic Orchestra as well as choral society works. More recently he has started performing with The Black Rhino band who accompany Jake & Elwood Blues - The Blues Brothers!! Phil is also an accomplished arranger, arranging quite a lot of the NBQ's current library. When not performing, Phil is a respected brass tutor & trumpet specialist for the Nottinghamshire Arts Support Service, and also for the Nottingham City Music Development Service.
